Operations are maintained 24 hours a day, seven days per week, 365 days per year.
(This includes weekends and holidays) Shelter Advocates work to ensure a safe, secure, comfortable, and supportive shelter environment consistent with the program's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Primary responsibilities include providing reliable shelter coverage, performing general housekeeping tasks, entry level administrative duties (Answering phones, logging notes, responding to inquiries, and assisting with miscellaneous office tasks as requested) Ensure guests feel welcomed, while skillfully balancing this need with adhering to basic shelter rules.
Maintain a fair and firm approach to problems that arise.
Provide crisis intervention as needed.
