CNC Machinist-2nd shift

Under the general direction of a Production Supervisor, the Machinist position operates large CNC boring bar machines to produce parts to blueprint specification meeting production schedules and company standards for quality and quantity.

Essential Job Functions:
Set-up and operate assigned classification machines to produce parts.
Use a variety of precision measuring devices.
Operate hoists.
Operate a variety of small hand tools.
Operate CNC controls.
Lift and carry tools, parts, materials.
Read and work from blueprints.
Complete all required paperwork.
Debur and polish parts.
Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
Ability to perform job functions in a safe manner.
Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company Policy for the job being performed.
Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules.
Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those you can.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must pass a written and hands-on evaluation in order to be eligible for employment.
Requires some experience in the set-up, lay-out, and operation of large CNC boring bars and/or equivalent technical training in machining operations. Large horizontal boring bar experience preferred.
Must be able and willing to work any shift and overtime.
Read and work from blueprints.
Use hand, power, and precision measuring tools.
Math skills: perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions and read a ruler and measuring tape in standard and metric.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. up to 100 feet.
Normal shop working environment.

This position is located on the production shop floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Incumbent will work in a typical fabrication environment including the use of solvents, adhesives, hydraulic oil, petroleum products, etc. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds up to 100 feet.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
