Wire EDM Programmer/Operator

We are a currently seeking a Wire EDM Programmer in the Port Washington, WI area. If you are searching for a company that has stability then look no further.


Produce parts per prints and supplied specifications.

Verify parts meet extremely close tolerance dimensions, alignments, clearance and specifications.

Utilize G&M codes, MDI Programming and Conversational as well as Programmable Controls to perform tasks.

Perform tool changes and offsets.

Perform challenging setups.

Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges and inspect work against prints and/or CAD Model.

Collaborate with customers, project managers, engineers and manufacturing team to supply parts and solutions to their needs in an environment that is constantly changing to meet scheduling needs.

Review routings and make recommendations to improve the machining of parts.

Become familiar with and utilize KMC processes and software to perform the required work.

Continuously look for innovative ways to improve processes, reduce waste, increase throughput and productivity, improve efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction.

Supply your own basic machinist tools.

Skills and Qualifications needed:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), technical degree or certificate in a related field is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years experience programming & operating Mitsubishi Wire EDM machines.

Tooling experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to set up, program and run EDM machines and inspect parts to produce parts from prints working with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with Esprit software.

Ability to utilize SolidWorks to create and update models and prints is a benefit.

Ability to manage 2 wire machines, process work to meet delivery dates, maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment; self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.

Shift, Pay, and Benefits:

First shift Monday-Friday 5:30A-3:30P

$48K-$58K BOE

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
